Meet The Team

Guided by Passion, Driven by Purpose

Our team doesn’t just work for change – we live it. Many of us come from the very communities we serve,
and this personal connection fuels our determination to transform the lives of working children and youth across Nigeria.
Together, we’ve turned survivors into advocates, building a movement that speaks for those whose voices often go unheard.

Frequently Asked Questions

MAEJT Nigeria is part of the larger African Movement of Working Children and Youth, a grassroots organization led by children and youth. We empower working children and advocate for their rights, ensuring access to education, healthcare, safety, and justice. Our goal is to protect vulnerable children from exploitation while amplifying their voices to become leaders in their communities.

We provide support in various ways:

  • Education: Helping children access schooling or vocational training.
  • Advocacy: Giving children a platform to voice their concerns and protect their rights.
  • Protection: Offering safety, healthcare, and legal aid to vulnerable children.
  • Empowerment: Training children to become advocates for themselves and others in similar situations.

There are many ways to support our work:

  • Donate: Your financial contributions go directly toward improving the lives of working children.
  • Volunteer: Join us on the ground to work directly with children and communities.
  • Advocate: Help spread the word about the rights of working children and the importance of protecting them.

We operate in 8 states across Nigeria—Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Delta, Edo, Abuja, Plateau, and Adamawa. MAEJT Nigeria is part of a larger movement that spans 28 African countries.

We welcome volunteers to join us in advocating for children’s rights. Whether it’s working directly with children, organizing events, or supporting our advocacy efforts, your help makes a difference.

Absolutely! We are always looking for new partners to collaborate with us in improving the lives of vulnerable children. Our current partners include organizations such as Save the Children, Plan International, Terres Des Hommes, etc.
